Welcome New Readers!

Debra and Terri brainstorming.

Welcome to The Professional Hypochondriac. If you’re anything like us, you may have noticed that as women in our 30s, 40s, and 50s, we’ve entered a minefield of changes — to our bodies and spirits. Not long ago, we rarely complained about much. We worked, raised children, lived life to its fullest, without skipping a beat. We juggled as many balls as life passed our way. But slowly, our strong bodies and solid psyches have become more fragile. We now require more upkeep, mentally and physically.

This blog is for all women who are in the “rapidly changing” stage of womanhood. We need a little help understanding our bodies and wading through the volumes of health information that come our way. Sometimes, we just need a little support from like-minded girlfriends.

We now require more upkeep, mentally and physically.

In our blog we’ll bring you relevant health news of the day. We’ll also talk to leading health experts about issues we’re all too familiar with, such as perimenopause, reproductive health, metabolism that’s gone on hiatus and caring for children and elderly parents. Let’s not forget the added maintenance we require these days. We can’t just slide a comb through our hair anymore. Increasingly, we need a little help holding it all together. And we’re happy to accept whatever help comes our way.

Let us know what’s on your mind. If you have a story idea, a healthy recipe, a product you can’t live without, or anything else you want to share, we want to hear about it!

We hope you’ll check in with us on a daily basis. After all, we’re in this together.

Hi Teri, although it took a few years to really meet, it was worth it. I enjoyed our chat yesterday and hope for many more. thank you for turning me on too this wonderful site. I will certainly pass this on to my some of my friends out in Palm Springs as I just know they will enjoy it just as much as I do. Once again neighbor it sure was nice getting to know you. We certainly will have to do it again in the spring. Sounds like we have a few things in common, HAHA. Take Care, Enjoy all those Hoildays, and I will see you in the spring, if not sooner on our evening skunk patrol. Always, Darlene
